Overview:
Gunnebo is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Retail National Account Manager to lead the development and growth of key national retail accounts across Canada. This role is responsible for cultivating long-term relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored security and operational solutions that meet customer needs. The successful candidate will manage strategic retail partnerships, support account expansion, and contribute to the overall success of Gunnebo’s national sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and expand long-term business relationships with existing stakeholders and decision-makers at national retail key accounts.
Implement strategic business development initiatives to penetrate new market segments and verticals.
Build, qualify, and close a pipeline of new business opportunities to meet or exceed annual sales objectives.
Drive growth within the National Account portfolio through new customer acquisition, account renewals, and expanded solution offerings.
Achieve the assigned annual sales target through effective planning, relationship building, and execution.
Present Gunnebo’s full portfolio of solutions and services in alignment with each customer’s operational and security requirements.
Deliver compelling solution-based presentations (both verbal and written) that communicate product value, benefits, and return on investment.
Provide best-in-class customer service by maintaining regular contact with clients and managing client expectations proactively.
Remain informed of industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activities to better position Gunnebo’s offerings.
Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to create and execute growth strategies, including product sales, marketing initiatives, pricing, contract negotiation, and strategic partnerships.
Monitor and manage key performance metrics, including sales results, customer satisfaction, and pricing efficiency.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven success in National Account management, preferably within the security solutions or related technology industries.
Strong background in B2B sales, account development, and relationship management.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence outcomes across sales, operations, and customer service.
Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach and a strong understanding of complex solution selling.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience
5–7 years of sales experience in a related field
Proven track record managing national or key accounts, ideally within the retail or security solutions industry
Leadership experience preferred
Strong background in B2C sales, business development, and client relationship management
Demonstrated success with high-profile customers and complex solution offerings
In-depth knowledge of market dynamics and competitor landscape
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
Trusted advisor with the highest level of integrity
Creative problem-solver able to drive innovative solutions within complex organizations
Familiarity with security solutions, including camera systems, card access, and intrusion systems
Experience managing complex sales cycles and engaging multiple stakeholders
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel domestically as needed
