Jetstar is seeking a professional National Operations Advisor to join our team in Sydney. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our Pilots, offering support and advice relating to base administration, processes, payroll, leave, employment contracts, expenses and general employment related queries.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Provide support to our Pilots including producing employment letters, maintaining operational/base related consumables, analysing data, reporting, uniform orders, security (ASIC and AVSEC) and car park passes
Coordinating all base on-boarding, off-boarding, transfers and relocations
Building relationships within the wider Jetstar team and managing all communication both internally and externally with relevant stakeholders
Maintain all information as required within Workday to ensure timely and accurate processing of pay, leave and terms and conditions of employment
Use initiative to proactively identify ways to improve processes and better support line pilots, Flight Operations Management team and broader based teams
Manage and maintain all base documentation and databases including base handbooks and guides, asset and security cards, and resource tracking pipelines
Provide support and contribute as required to the achievement of departmental objectives including adhoc projects and tasks as directed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in an HR coordination/administration support role (or related role), ideally supporting a remote workforce
Enjoys working within a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
Accountable and committed to taking full ownership of tasks, ensuring proactive and successful completion from start to finish
Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
Proactive approach to solving problems
Understanding of EBAs, contracts and policies and ability to interpret these
