YAY Today is an NDIS provider based in Melbourne. We empower individuals with mental health conditions and neurodivergent traits to unlock their full potential and transition from feeling stuck to feeling inspired. With a team of over 80 staff members, including counsellors, psychologists, employment coaches, support workers, and cleaners, we are dedicated to bringing happiness to our clients' lives.
We are currently seeking Support workers to join our team in Mitchelton.
Must be available for 3 hour shifts - days TBC/flexible. For community access. Must be confident using public transport.
These fulfilling roles involve helping our clients maintain their independence, continue living safely in their own homes, and actively participate in their communities.
Skills & Experience
Providing one-on-one or group support to individuals in their daily activities.
Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
Promoting independence and community integration through social outings and engagement.
Advocating for the rights and well-being of the individuals you support.
Building meaningful relationships and fostering a supportive environment.
Requirement & Qualifications
Be eligible to work in Australia
Experience in working with clients with mental health conditions or disabilities.
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or Community Services is preferred
Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
WWWC Card and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
National Police check
A First Aid/CPR Certificate
NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate
Fluent in English
CONTRACT:
Casual 20-38 hours per week
Payment negotiable (depending on experience and qualifications)
Overnight shifts available
LOCATION: Mitchelton.
