Desired Competencies (Technical / Behavioral Competency )
Must-Have
Veritas Netbackup
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Backup Administration and technical knowledge of various backup tools like Veritas,Commvault, TSM.
• Experience in monitoring and managing backup capacities
• Proven ability in build and configure of Veritas Netbackup servers and its components with knowledge on Backup and Restore for physical servers, VM's, SQL and Oracle Databases
• Working ability to restore procedure of various types including File system, database, VMs etc. while troubleshooting of problems / issues
• Proficient in advanced trouble shooting skills and identify the severity of the issue, resolve issues quickly to account / customer satisfaction and Prepare RCA , ITIL knowledge
• Maintain backup policies and standard Storage Retentions and troubleshoot pruning and Data aging issues
• Troubleshoot performance problems and propose solutions for Cost avoidance opportunities.
• Good understanding on Incident problem and change management process and knowledge on ticketing tools like.
• Experience in Designs, Develop, Implement and support Veritas NetBackup & Flex Appliances infrastructure.
• Must have hands on experience in configuring and managing Flex Appliances
• Experience in configuring and managing NetBackup master / media servers and clients - Backup policy SLP configuration, Exchange backups / recovery, Restorations - Experience / knowledge in creating All DB / VMware / Hyper-V / Nutanix intelligent policies - Hands on experience in Backup / Restore activities
• Configuration of Volume Pools, Storage Units, Policies, Tape Libraries - Must have Windows, Unix and Linux server technologies and storage solutions.
• Must have basic knowledge of all related workloads like MS Exchange, AD, Share points,
• MSSQL, Oracle, virtualization platforms like VMWare, Nutanix, Hyper-V.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve Veritas NetBackup & Appliances related issues. - Prepare project plans.
• Define and produce appropriate design documentation that is consistent with the solution and meets the business requirements of the client.
• Design and document for Migration activities on various platform.
• Perform capacity planning, upgrades and expansion for Infrastructure.
• Experience in analysis and redesign of existing infrastructure systems and services.
• Must have proven experience with deep technical aspects of enterprise consolidation / integration projects.
• Must have strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Must have Veritas Certification
Good-to-Have
• Added advantage if candidate possess ITIL certification.
• Azure portal Storage accounts monitoring and creation for Offsite backups purpose
• Additional troubleshooting knowledge towards Vmware, Network and Storage areas
