Job Title: Non-Motor Underwriter

Job Summary
We are looking for a Non-Motor Underwriter to manage underwriting and placement of non-motor insurance risks, including Health, Personal Accident, Travel, Liability, Marine, and other specialty lines. The role involves risk assessment, insurer coordination, quotation negotiation, policy issuance support, and ensuring timely servicing for corporate and retail clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess and underwrite non-motor insurance risks based on client profiles, exposure, and underwriting guidelines.
• Prepare and share quotations for Health, Marine, Liability, Personal Accident, Travel, and other non-motor products.
• Coordinate with insurance companies for pricing, terms, and policy issuance.
• Negotiate premium and coverage terms with insurers to achieve best outcomes for clients.
• Review proposal forms, KYC documents, claims history, and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Support placement of risks, endorsements, renewals, and mid-term changes.
• Ensure timely issuance of policies, endorsements, and renewal confirmations.
• Maintain proper documentation and underwriting records as per internal and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with sales/client servicing teams to provide technical support and product guidance.
• Handle client queries related to policy coverage, exclusions, and underwriting requirements.
• Assist in resolving operational issues with insurers and ensure service timelines are met.
Desired Candidate Profile
• 2–6 years of experience in Non-Motor underwriting / operations (insurer or broking background preferred).
• Graduate (Bachelor’s degree mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of non-motor products (Health, Marine, Liability, PA, Travel, etc.).
• Good understanding of underwriting principles, documentation, and policy terms.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Good negotiation and follow-up skills with insurers.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
