Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Conduct and grade assessments in line with IHNA policies, providing timely feedback.
Support students with special needs and submit monthly reports.
Participate in educator meetings and contribute at least two annual innovations via the Staff Portal.
Assist in developing and enhancing curriculum resources.
Upload monthly evidence of industry activities and professional development in the Knowledge Hub.
Prepare and submit reports on student engagement and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing
Current and unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Additional Requirements:
TAE40122 or TAE40116
Or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, plus either TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills, or its successor, or TAELLN401A Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills, and Either TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools, or its successor, or TAEASS502A Design and Develop Assessment Tools, or TAEASS502B Design and Develop Assessment Tools Or diploma or higher level qualification in adult education Vocational competencies relevant to the qualifications delivered Additional credentials or qualifications in adult education or VET teaching are desirable
Please note successful candidates are required to have the following checks National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months) or willing to apply for one Working with Children Check or willing to apply for one
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience in student assessment, including simulated and clinical evaluations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff effectively.
Ability to provide constructive feedback and mentor students.
Proficiency in using digital learning platforms and student management systems.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle academic responsibilities efficiently.
Commitment to professional development and staying updated with industry standards.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
At least 1 year of experience as a Nurse Educator (highly desirable)
Must maintain vocational currency and provide ongoing evidence of industry engagement
