Position Overview:
As an OET Trainer, you will play a crucial role in helping healthcare professionals improve their English language proficiency, with a specific focus on preparing them for the Occupational English Test (OET). You will work closely with students to enhance their listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills, ensuring they achieve their desired OET scores.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct OET training sessions for healthcare professionals, both one-on-one and in group settings.
Develop and customize lesson plans and teaching materials to meet the specific needs of individual students.
Assess students' language proficiency levels and create tailored learning objectives and goals.
Provide constructive feedback to students on their language skills, assignments, and practice tests.
Administer mock OET exams and monitor students' progress.
Stay updated on OET exam changes, assessment criteria, and best practices.
Keep accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
Create a supportive and engaging learning environment to motivate students.
Collaborate with colleagues and management to improve teaching methodologies and materials.
Stay informed about developments in the healthcare industry to better understand students' needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
OET certification or relevant ESL teaching certification (e.g., CELTA, TEFL, TESOL).
Proven experience in teaching English for healthcare professionals and OET preparation.
Strong understanding of OET exam content, scoring, and assessment criteria.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
Effective time management and organizational abilities.
Adaptability and the ability to tailor teaching methods to individual learning styles.
Proficiency in using technology and educational software for teaching purposes.
