Qualifications
Have successfully completed and graduated from an accredited occupational therapy professional program recognized by NBCOT and have completed all fieldwork requirements
Current Occupational Therapy license issued by the {name of the state} State Board of Examiners, or current Occupational Therapy license issued by another state with ability to obtain the {name of the state} license within 30 days of hire ({name of the state} license must be maintained throughout employment)
Department of Justice fingerprint clearance
A valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
Two years of experience as an occupational therapist, preferably in school system or other pediatric practice setting
Knowledge of Federal, State and local laws governing occupational therapists
Discretion and good judgment in dealing with sensitive, personal and medical information, with ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, co-workers and their family members
Strong and effective spoken and written (English) communication skills, including the ability to accurately compile and maintain therapeutic records and related documentation
