Senior Litigation Associate (Insurance Defense) | Fort Lauderdale, Florida | $115,000 to $145,000
You can be busy… without it taking over your life.
Sounds obvious. It isn’t.
Most insurance defense roles in Florida start the same way and end the same way. Files stack up. Emails drift into the evening. Billables quietly edge higher and no one really says it out loud.
This one feels more under control.
Still proper work. Still a full caseload. Depositions, hearings, strategy, dealing with clients who expect you to know your stuff.
But you’ll know what’s coming. You’ll have support around you. And you won’t feel like you’re constantly catching up.
One of the senior attorneys there said the biggest difference was just finishing the day without that nagging feeling that something else is about to land.
That stuck with me.
The role
You’ll step in as a Senior Associate handling a mix of insurance defense matters.
Not boxed into one lane.
• Bodily injury
• Property claims
• Some coverage work depending on your background
You’ll run your own files. You’ll be trusted with them. And if you like mentoring, there’s room for that too.
What’s on offer
• Salary between $115,000 and $145,000
• Billables around 1850. Not quietly pushing past 2000
• Hybrid working. Three days in, two from home
• Proper support so you’re not buried in admin
• A team that actually speaks to each other when things get busy
What they’re looking for
• Around 4 to 8 years in insurance defense
• Comfortable running files from start to finish
• Deposition and motion experience
• Someone who wants to do good work without it becoming everything
This isn’t a place to coast.
You’ll still work hard.
It’s just a bit more predictable. A bit more thought through. And that tends to matter more than people expect.

• Salary between $115,000 and $145,000
• Billables around 1850. Not quietly pushing past 2000
• Hybrid working. Three days in, two from home
• Proper support so you’re not buried in admin
• A team that actually speaks to each other when things get busy
What they’re looking for
• Around 4 to 8 years in insurance defense
• Comfortable running files from start to finish
• Deposition and motion experience
• Someone who wants to do good work without it becoming everything
