- BSc or any Diploma in Fire & Safety
Construction Industry/ Industrial project experience is preferred.
• ADIS certificate is mandatory.
Basic Computer Knowledge is required
- MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Job Description of Officer
- Safety
Senior Level Safety:
- Administer Safety, Health and Environmental matters for the Project.
- Conduct Safety Induction of Company Workers, Staff, Visitors, Vendors, and Suppliers etc. entering the site and issue Identity Cards / Identity Passes. Repeat Induction on Half Yearly basis.
- Conduct Tool Box Talks every day for Workers.
- Identify potentially unsafe acts, areas and implement practice measures and educate staff & workmen.
- Investigate unsafe occurrences and initiate corrective steps.
- Discuss near miss accidents with staff and workmen.
- Organize Monthly Health and Safety Meetings with the Client’s Representative.
- Prepare list of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and monitor the issuance at the site.
- Organize Health, Safety & Environmental Inspections and Audits.
- Be well conversant with Management’s Policy for Safety, Health and Environment.
- Submits Monthly Report on Safety, Health and Environment aspects to the Corporate Office.
- Conduct Safety, Health and Environmental training programs and celebrations.
- Establish & Maintain Fire Points and conduct weekly Fire Fighting Practices on Project Site.
- Organize National Safety Day, Week & Month and celebrations.
- Communicate with CMD on important safety issues.
- Make Suggestions for update of Safety, Health and Environmental Manual.
- Submit Safety Records to Corporate Office on Completion of Project
Junior Level Safety:
- Monitor SHE practices, persuade to minimize non-compliance.
- Report incidents beyond control and unsafe occurrences to PM.
- Arrange daily toolbox talks and ensure use of PPEs.
