Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mine Planning Engineer to join our team at Glencore Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing daily and weekly schedules that align with monthly targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Creation of weekly schedules and assisting with monthly scheduling of pits and overburden emplacement facilities.
Providing guidance for other technical staff, planners, and support at planning meetings.
Liaising with Maintenance teams to optimize equipment maintenance scheduling.
Processing owner for short-term overburden placement facility design work and inspection processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Engineering majoring in Mining or similar relevant tertiary qualification from a recognized institution.
Demonstrated knowledge of mining engineering systems in open pit metalliferous mines, including a minimum of three years' experience.
Previous experience with mine design and scheduling software (Vulcan, Deswik).
Overburden emplacement facility management experience.
