Responsibilities: HCL Technologies is seeking for a PaaS Admin to work closely on one of our Prominent customer based out of Europe. This role has high visibility across Enabling Delivery units. We are looking for candidates with a strong vision for embracing disrupting technologies specifically in the PaaS domains focusing on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. Candidates should also have the application down approach to come up with strong solutions for customers requirement. As an Admin- OpenShift(Redhat), the candidate is responsible for the following. - Implementation experience on enterprise PaaS solutions based on RedHat OpenShift on variety of IaaS platforms like, OpenStack, Vmware, openStack, Public Cloud etc. - Must have strong experience in OCP (OpenShift), VMware etc. - A minimum of 4 years of experience with complex/large enterprise in a customer-facing positions as a technology Consultant/Admin / Engineer - Excellent knowledge on linux specifically RHEL 7/8/+. - Experience in deployment of latest version of OpenShift with CoreOS as the operating system. - Strong experience in OCP (OpenShift) ecosystem tools implementation such as logging monitoring, alert etc, - Good hands on understanding on Virtualization, Container native storage, OpenStack etc. - Good understanding of networking fundamentals, SDN/OVS Kubernetes, cluster & resource management and Cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/Google/IBM cloud platforms), - Security implementation on Kubernetes as per best practices - Some hands on experience on GitOps for platform and application deployment - Good knowledge / Experience on Container native storage such as Ceph/Gluster/OCS etc. - Good exposure to DevOps principles, CI/CD Pipelines using Jenkins and other DevOps tools stack - Assist in migrations and assessment of applications of platforms written in different languages/technologies (Java, PHP, Python, Ruby ,terraform etc.)/WAS, WebLogic to Open source solution involving Docker or Kubernetes Frameworks Qualifications/Requirements: Education Qualification/Requirements - Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science or other relevant streams. - Certifications in OpenShift(Preferred) - At least one public cloud computing related certification (Preferred) Professional Experience Requirements - 6-8 years of experience in a customer-facing positions as a technology Consultant/Admin - 4+ years experience on OpenShift or related technologies with hands on experience. - Excellent hands on experience on Docker in setting up and managing private Docker Trusted Registry (DTR). - Working knowledge on technologies like Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS, Docker, and Kubernetes - Hands on experience with OpenShift manual/automated (UPI/IPI) deployment and managing multiple environments and clusters. - Design and implement Kafka on OpenShift. - Manage and operate Red-Hat ACM and ACS for multi-cluster and security management. - Set up and maintain logging and monitoring solutions ( e.g., EFK, Loki, Prometheus and Grafana). - Good understanding of OpenShift Service Mesh architecture. - Familiar with industry best practices and fluent in explaining the same to customers Knowledge/experience in Containers (Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes) - Experience/Knowledge on micro services deployments and auto Scaling. Excellent knowledge of application development tools and software life cycle processes. - Must Have Hands on experience on OpenShift or Kubernetes set up installation & administration. - Well versed with basic networking fundamentals, Cluster & Resource management and Cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/other cloud platforms), including monitoring systems, logging and security implementation. - Good exposure to DevOps principles, CI/CD, Continuous Deployment Pipelines using Jenkins. - Familiarity to industry leading orchestration tools like Ansible, or similar products. - Software development process knowledge in an agile environment with a focus on Devops with CI/CD. - Quick learner and ability to present solutions and complex technical aspects to different levels of audiences. - Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate at different management levels.
