About the role
As part of our newly established Operational Excellence function, we are recruiting a Operational Excellence Managers to act as the state lead for execution and performance uplift across our New Zealand retail network.

This is a field-based leadership role where you will partner closely with Regional Managers, State Directors and Store Leaders to strengthen operational discipline, enable consistent execution and remove parries impacting store performance across all EssilorLuxottica retail brands, including OPSM, Sunglass Hut, Oakley, Ray-Ban and Laubman & Pank.

Success in this role is defined by measurable operational uplift ensuring priorities land in stores, actions are followed through, and teams are supported to deliver at the highest standard.

This is a fully field-based role involving daily store engagement and travel across your state/region.

Your responsibilities:
Serve as the Operational Excellence state lead, driving execution consistency across all EssilorLuxottica retail brands
Partner with senior field leadership to embed operational priorities and elevate store performance outcomes
Conduct structured store visits to assess execution, identify gaps and unlock opportunities for improvement
Coach and influence store teams and leaders to strengthen capability, accountability and operational rhythm
Identify systemic barriers to execution and drive cross-functional solutions that make it easier for stores to succeed
Own follow-through and closure, ensuring actions are delivered, sustainable and measurable
Support national operating frameworks, tools and governance rhythms to ensure initiatives land effectively in the field
Build trusted relationships and credibility as a strategic partner to frontline leadership

About you
You will bring:
Strong experience in multi-site retail operations, regional leadership or operational excellence roles within large-scale environments
Proven ability to influence both store teams and senior field leaders to drive results through partnership and execution discipline
A track record of lifting operational consistency, capability and performance across a store network
Highly developed coaching, stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Strong commercial and operational acumen, with the ability to translate insight into action
Confidence operating autonomously in a field role with extensive travel and high accountability
A practical, solutions-focused mindset and passion for continuous improvement
