Overview
The City Launcher is responsible for building, training, and managing a high-quality workforce while ensuring an excellent customer experience within a designated region or hub. This role blends recruiting, training, and hands-on field operations. You will own onsite service quality in your market—from initial hiring through ongoing performance—while also supporting in-person operational initiatives such as test orders and partner outreach.
Each City Launcher is accountable for a specific region and the success, quality, and performance of all onsite support staff operating within that area.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hiring & Onboarding
• Source, interview, and hire onsite support staff (OSS) within your region
• Ensure candidates meet standards for quality, reliability, and professionalism
• Lead onboarding and set new hires up for success from day one
2. Training & Enablement
• Deliver initial and ongoing training for OSS
• Reinforce standards for setup, labeling, and overall participant experience
• Ensure team members understand operational processes and expectations
3. Field Quality & Performance Management
• Coordinate staffing coverage for new customer launches
• Conduct on-the-job evaluations during live shifts
• Provide real-time coaching and feedback to improve performance
• Identify high and low performers and take appropriate action
4. Market Development & Operational Support
• Support local growth initiatives, including:
• Product/sample drop-offs for new customers
• Visits to prospective partners
• Test orders to ensure quality standards
• Serve as the on-the-ground operational representative in your region
5. Ownership of Hub Performance
• Maintain a strong and reliable bench of onsite staff
• Ensure full coverage, readiness, and execution quality across all shifts
• Partner with internal teams to identify and address operational gaps or risks

Qualifications
• 2–5 years of experience in operations, field management, recruiting, or training
• Strong ability to assess talent and performance quickly
• Comfortable providing direct, constructive feedback in a field environment
• Highly organized, proactive, and self-directed
• Willingness to spend significant time in the field
Preferred Experience
• Marketplace or gig workforce operations
• Hospitality or service industry experience
• Experience launching or scaling operations in new markets
