As part of Design and Engineering Compute, MQ Messaging team of highly motivated middleware messaging specialist. Alongside our business, within our team and with our industry partners we are a world-leading messaging technology enabler for the bank.
Your impact & contribution & Your reporting lines
The purpose of this role is to provide engineering support in order to drive excellence, quality and performance for an IT service, across one or multiple portfolios. The role has:
• Assist with governance of Middleware Messaging standards and patterns, specifically around IBM MQ.
• Delivery review and Guidance
• Leveraged Infrastructure Maintenance, including planning, organizing and running changes out of business hours.
• Upgrade Planning and implementation
• Service performance and capacity planning
• Accountability to support and maintain the utility of provided services meet the ongoing technology requirements for business, projects, and IT&T stakeholders
• Have specific experience and knowledge around IBM MQ and alternatives ( other JMS messaging technologies)
The MQ System Engineer must effectively build and maintain relationships with:
• Managers and Senior managers (EM), Solution Architects, Design Specialists, Business Analysts and Solution Delivery Managers in a project context
