Operations & Event Management Intern
Job details
Job description, work day and responsibilities
Quash is the AI-powered co-pilot for mobile QA. Our platform converts design files, PRDs, and code diffs into self-healing test suites that run on real devices, catch crashes, and pinpoint root causes, so teams ship flawless apps faster. Backed by Arali Ventures & Java Capital, we’re a product-obsessed crew blending deep mobile expertise with cutting-edge LLM + computer-vision research.
Role Overview
As our Operations & Events Intern, you’ll be the on-ground force that turns plans into shipped reality - locking venues, wrangling vendors, moving swag from printer to booth, and ensuring every Quash meetup, hack-day, or release party lands on time and under budget. Embedded in the Founders’ Office, you’ll get rapid feedback, high visibility, and a front-row seat to the controlled chaos of scaling a seed-stage dev-tool.
Key Responsibilities (≈ 70 % of your week)
• Scout venues and negotiate quotes for meet-ups, workshops, and off-sites.
• Own vendor relationships: printing, swag, catering, A/V, rentals.
• Build and maintain run-of-show docs, budget trackers, and logistics checklists.
• Coordinate shipment and inventory of demo devices, banners, and merch.
• Capture post-event metrics, attendance, NPS, qualified leads, and present findings.
Generalist Responsibilities & Learnings (≈ 30 % of your week)
• Automate RSVP → Slack / Sheets flows with Zapier or Make.
Assist founders with travel bookings, office supplies, and ad-hoc ops fires.
• Help design and distribute internal swag kits for new-hire onboarding.
• Pitch in on hack-day logistics, livestream set-ups, and last-minute coffee runs.
What you bring
Must-haves
• Hustle mindset; comfortable negotiating, following up, and physically moving boxes.
• Google Sheets ninja: budgets, checklists, simple formulas.
• Strong written & verbal communication; polite but persistent with vendors.
• Weekend or evening flexibility during event weeks.
Good-to-haves
• Prior fest / conference / college-event organising experience.
• Basic Canva / Figma for quick signage or badge tweaks.
• Familiarity with Zapier, Make, or Google Apps Script automations.
• A driver’s licence or two-wheeler for fast local errands.
Stipend & Working Environment
• ₹10 k monthly base & access to all company learning budgets.
• Work-from-office, Monday–Friday (plus event days as needed).
• Fast, messy, metric-driven. You’ll sit next to founders, juggle ops, events, and surprise tasks, and see impact in days, not quarters.
• Only candidates who thrive on complexity and hands-on ownership need apply.
