Job Description
• Inventory Management - Identification of various items, keeping track of the materials by tags and transportation management.
• Unloading the material / items in inventory with the help of inventory management system. Following the FIFO system in stores for every item.
• Procurement of new stock materials / receiving replacement from vendors and ensure those are correct in terms of number and specifications.
• Sending Inquiries, getting quotations, and placing purchase orders to vendors.
• Supervising purchase order and delivery of items against each PO from customers.
• Supplier & Customer Reconciliation.
• Maintaining record of excess material returned from the manufacturing vendors.
• Reporting any significant supply problems to the Department Head to ensure that departments and functions are kept aware of any potential difficulties.
• Maintaining records of all stock movements. Using data modelling practices to analyze the stock movement and calculate the optimum stock level of various components.
• Assisting in carrying out regular inventory checks to ensure that adequate stock is maintained.
• Maintaining the records of Purchase Requisition (PR) with details of order placed, order pending, work in progress in respective work-sheets.
• Checking reorder status of components in inventory to ensure that shortages are avoided.
• Suggesting and monitoring disposal of scrap items lying in the inventory in consultation with the Department Head.
• Search for good vendors for new components and shipping partners for continuous improvement in transportation.
• Issuing consumables / other materials and equipment from inventory to concerned user as required.
• Forwarding the material received information to the concerned department.
• Maintaining a tidy, safe and efficient stores environment.
• Maintaining documentation of various components supplied to the customers.
• Developing contact with relevant departments to ensure that stock items and stock levels are appropriate to their requirement.
• Ensuring timely delivery and smooth execution of all purchase orders.
• Ensuring smooth flow of inter-departmental functions. Analyzing existing processes continuously and suggesting improvements to streamline it further.
• Development of Training Programs to provide ease in Training facilities.
Requirements from the candidate
• Diploma / Graduate in Engineering stream.
• Basic knowledge of Operations domain and various practices used in industries.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Google Spreadsheets.
• Hands on experience in procuring and sourcing of Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechanical and Electrical Items.
• Knowledge of the local market and excellent negotiation skills with the suppliers.
• Hands on experience in Import and Export purchase orders will be preferred.
• Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools.
• Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools.
• Basic knowledge in generating process documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical knowledge.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent logical, analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
