💰 $4,200 - $6,720 (Est.) 📍 Melbourne 🕐 3 days ago

Job Description

You're an experienced operations leader who knows how to build capability, drive performance and get the best out of the people around you. You thrive in a fast-paced QSR environment, you know what great looks like, and you're ready to make a real impact across a growing restaurant network. El Jannah is looking for someone exactly like you.

About El Jannah

Since 1998, El Jannah has been serving up legendary charcoal chicken with heart. What started as a family dream in Granville, Sydney, has grown into one of Australia's most beloved quick service restaurant brands - and we're just getting started. More than two decades on, our bold flavours, generous portions and energetic restaurants continue to create memorable experiences that guests love across Australia.

As we continue to grow, we stay focused on what matters most: great food, great people and genuine connection.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and driven Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in the growth and success of our Corporate Restaurant Network. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this is a senior leadership role with real scope. Overseeing a team of Corporate Business Managers, supporting Restaurant Managers across the network, and taking the lead on new restaurant openings.

With a strong focus on coaching, compliance, financial performance and people development, you'll be the connective tissue between our Head of Operations and the restaurants on the ground. A strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and get things done.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading, coaching and developing a team of Corporate Business Managers to build capability, deliver results and consistency across the network
Setting and tracking yearly KPIs for CBMs and implementing performance improvement plans where needed
Overseeing P&L performance across the Corporate Restaurant Network and identifying opportunities, providing actions and coaching to drive profitability
Managing all critical new restaurant opening milestones from induction through to handover, ensuring new restaurants meet COGs, labour and performance targets
Monitoring and upholding food quality, safety, hygiene and brand standards across all locations
Partnering with HR, Learning & Development, Marketing and Property teams to support restaurant success
Building trusting relationships with Restaurant Managers and providing ongoing guidance and operational support
Developing clear, meaningful reports for the Head of Operations and relevant stakeholders
Continuously improving the new restaurant opening model to ensure consistent and scalable replication across the network
What We're Looking For

5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a QSR or retail environment
3+ years of hands-on new restaurant opening experience
Proven ability to coach, lead, develop and hold a team accountable to deliver results
Strong financial acumen – fully versed in reading P&Ls and driving performance improvements
Deep knowledge of QSR operational standards, food safety, WHS and compliance requirements
Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
Previous franchising experience is a bonus, but not essential
A Bachelor of Business or Diploma is desirable, but we value experience above all
Why Join El Jannah?

Real scope and impact

This is not a support role. You'll have genuine influence over the performance of our entire Corporate Restaurant Network, with a direct line to the Head of Operations and real accountability for outcomes.

A brand in growth mode

We have a strong pipeline of new restaurant openings and an ambitious national growth agenda. You'll be at the centre of it - shaping how we scale and how we maintain quality as we do.

Career development

El Jannah is building out its corporate leadership structure. For the right person, this role is a genuine stepping stone to a senior operations or multi-site leadership position as the business continues to expand.

A culture built on True Teamwork

We're a business that genuinely lives its values. You'll work alongside a passionate, collaborative leadership team that backs each other, communicates openly and takes pride in what they build together.

Competitive salary

We offer a competitive package commensurate with your experience, and we recognise and reward the people who drive results.
