We are seeking an experienced professional to lead operations in a transformative, community-focused First Nations organisation.
The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, manage financial systems, and drive compliance while fostering a workplace culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

It provides culturally sensitive and holistic programs, emphasising youth engagement, community development, and advocacy for social and cultural well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the smooth running of daily operations across the organisation.
Uphold compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) and quality assurance frameworks.
Oversee ICT issues, liaising with suppliers to address operational needs effectively.
Manage organisational assets, maintain the asset register, and oversee building maintenance in collaboration with external stakeholders such as the ACT Property Group.
Work closely with the external financial team to ensure robust financial management and control.
Prepare budgets, financial acquittals, and ensure records are accurately maintained.
Collaborate with the Executive Team to oversee payroll and employee benefits.
Manage audits and ensure financial compliance with regulations and organisational standards.
Supervise administrative and accreditation staff to ensure quality operations and compliance with quality improvement standards.
Facilitate regular communication with team members to gather feedback and support staff development.
Assist in recruitment and training processes, as needed.
Oversee leased vehicles, including contracts, insurance claims, and the maintenance of vehicle logs and fuel cards.
Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks.
Qualifications and Requirement:
Post-secondary qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, or Management (Certificate IV or above preferred).
At least 2 years of experience working within a First Nations NGO or a similar organisation.
Current ACT Driver's License.
Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration or willingness to obtain.
Police background check pursuant to the Children and Young People Act 2008.
Senior First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
