Lens Shapers Inc. is Canada’s premier full-service optical lab. We are a manufacturer and supplier of ophthalmic lenses. Established in 2008, we provide complete service solutions for opticians, optometrists, and ophthalmologists across the nation.
We are currently hiring experienced Finishing Lab Technicians (full-time & part-time) in Edging/Finishing, and Tinting departments.
Hours: Mon to Fri: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
(Part-time hours TBD)
Full-time positions come with extended health benefits, including medical and dental.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Edging & Finishing:
Edging & mounting lenses into frames.
Verify prescription, frame, and other info against the work ticket.
Inspection of finishing quality.
Marking, dotting, verification, and blocking of prescription lenses.
Frame tracing, small repairs
Other related duties as assigned.
Tinting:
Possess excellent skills & experience in lens tints
Fast, accurate, and consistent with tint colour matching
Must be attentive to detail
The candidates considered must:
Have 3+ years experience working as a finishing lab technician
Have a high school diploma or equivalent minimum
Have good basic math skills
Be able to read, write and speak fluent English
Be a team player
