ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTARTOR JOB DESCRIPTION FOR L 2 position
An IT graduate with 4-6 years of relevant Oracle DBA experience and worked on 24/7 environments.
Thie individual should be proactive in nature thus identifying problems in advance and looking for continuous service improvements
• Uses Skills as a Seasoned, experienced Professional with full understanding of industry practices and procedures.
• Ability to identify end user issues and propose solutions on complex process issues.
• Possess project and change management knowledge
• Lead multiple modules or a moderate complexity project at both individual and team level, guide the junior team members
• Provides regular updates to manager on project/work status
• Participates in the Proof-of-Concept projects.
• Contributes to the DR planning, implementation, and rehearsal at the site level.
• Analyze complex performance issues in databases and able to identify and provide a solution.
• Excellent knowledge of Oracle Architecture, conduct complex ORACLE database systems technical reviews to improve performance, resource utilization and integrity.
• Manage client’s satisfaction on technical issues related to Oracle Database.
• Oracle Patching (PSU& CPU) in RAC/Single instance environment
• Strong knowledge and experience on Database Cloning /Data refresh from one environment to other
• Expirirnce in installing, troubleshooting, configuring and fine tuning RAC Setup’s.
• Good documentations skills and SOP’s
Mandatory Technical Skills
Good understanding of Oracle administration on 12C/1+C environment on
• Strong knowledge and experience on Oracle Database Administration (11g & 12c,1+c)
• Define/Recommend/Maintain database Standards and Architecture
• Future Release management for database/instance and Impact Analysis.
• Usage of AWR and ADDM, provide recommendations for improvement.
• Experience on Database Migration, Installation, Upgrades and Patching
• Strong operations focus of Oracle 10g/11g/12c RAC databases which include installing, configuring, and tuning
• Oracle13c Cloud OEM for administration, monitoring & performance analysis of Oracle instances
• Troubleshooting and monitoring Concept of Batch process monitoring and batch jobs and related issues
• RMAN backup and recovery concepts - Duplicate, Clone, hot, cold and archive log backup concepts. Formulate new backup strategies and review existing ones.
• Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting of ASM (Automatic Storage Management)
• Experience in Dataguard Physical and logical Standby, configuration, troubleshooting, fine tuning, and restorability.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting and performance related issues., Usage of AWR and ADDM
• Partitioning concepts and implementation along with troubleshooting of issues.
• Experience on Database Compression techniques
• Proven expertise in single & multi-node installation, configuration, patching, single & multi-node cloning, and upgrade.
• Oracle RAC installation, configuration & administration and fine tuning.
AIX / UNIX Operating System and its facilities & Knowledge on Shell scripting
Experience & Educational Qualification
• 3-4 Years of Large Oracle Database Administration on 11g/12C/1+C
• Must be a Graduate
