Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure, which includes the implementation and design of hardware and software.
• Monitors the performance of systems, typically requires a bachelor's degree in an area of specialty experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field, relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Able to work under general supervision, a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required, typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
• Intermediate level proficiency in Linux along with some scripting/programming ability will help in automating recurring operational tasks.
Must have skills :
• Oracle database administration
• Cloud administration skills preferably AWS
• Experience with Linux and Windows server environments
• Knowledge of GIT (or any other version control software)
Responsibilities
• Manage Oracle/AWS RDS databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to Enterprise grade production systems
• End-to-end database deployments & configuration as per standards in a Hybrid Cloud environment preferably using code
• Extensive experience in query tuning and troubleshooting(Performance tuning & optimization.
• Provide support to the application development team for review of stored procedures, database structures, and recovery processes.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
• Exposure to database migration to AWS along with knowledge of managed database offerings.
• Intermediate level experience in Design, Implementation, and Troubleshooting of other database technologies like MYSQL/ PostgreSQL databases.
• Identify opportunities for automation, and optimization of operational processes to improve the reliability and efficiency of Operations.
• Share on-call responsibility to ensure operational coverage, this includes working in rotational shifts including weekends and/or public holidays
