Oracle 11G and above knowledge is a mustCreating and sizing database storage structures and database objectsPlanning for and actual backup and recovery of database informationWork on Change Orders as per implementation planMonitoring database usage.Sound knowledge Shell Scripting.Knowledge of 3rd party tools like (SQL Developer /Toad/Foglight/Spotlight).Knowledge of Data Grid Autosys.Knowledge of Golden Gate and APEXClient Handling in High Pressure Situation.Monitoring system alerts and errors and resolve issues independentlyControlling and monitoring different shell scriptsControlling and monitoring user access to the databaseControlling and monitoring Standby and replication process.Monitoring and Troubleshooting Space IssuesApplication PatchingBackup/Restore (RMAN and Disk based)Support Users in Deployment in Dev/QA/ProdManage RAC clusters and associated grid infrastructure softwareManage disk space via ASMMonitor databases using OEM and scriptsData Migration to CloudExperience with Golden Gate is desirableExperience with Apex is desirableIaaS and PaaS knowledge Writing Cron Jobs/Shell scripting for database administration tasksTroubleshooting database Alerts.Application Specific Database Tasks such as creation of Full Vol schema etc
