Job Description
Oracle DBA for SAP At least 8 DBA (2 per region/shift), with the following technical skills : - Installing and maintaining Oracle database software.- Creating storage database structures with high-level security features.- Assist the infrastructure team in sizing hardware used for the DB.- Works hands-on as a team member covering all facets of database administration from installation to query and database tuning, as well as standards development, documentation, and working with other technical staff to ensure the database environment is robust and meets P&G needs- Setting up database user accounts and training users on how to access the information in the database.- Take ownership of performance and capacity monitoring aspects of the DB.- Creating autonomous database backups.- Regularly updating the database security protocols.- Operating system experience in Linux.- Experience in Oracle management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data pump).- Tune all Oracle instance components including SQL and PL/SQL- Experience in Oracle failover technology- Determine and document DB policies, procedures, and standards.- Ensure SLA's & operational KPI's are met, working as necessary with internal and external support functions when major incidents occur.
