JOB OVERVIEW
Looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator who will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of Oracle Databases.
JOB Summary
Responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, support and maintenance of all Database systems including Production, Development and Test server environments.
EXPERIENCE
Must have min 3 years of hands on Production experience working on Oracle databases.
• Responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, support and maintenance of all database systems including Production, Development and Test server environments.
• Implementing Oracle Data Guard and the different features around Data Guard.
• Monitoring and optimization of database security, session, archive logs and disk space usage.
• Perform major and minor upgrades to Oracle Databases.
• Participate in DBA team on-call support duties.
• Providing end-to-end support for build and deployment activities.
• Determine and implement best practices for Oracle configuration
• Ensuring database backups are successful (RMAN).
• Responsible for cloning databases from Production to Test / Development environments.
• Contacting various vendor for technical support and further solution
Required Skills
• Expert knowledge of Oracle database administration including installation, management, troubleshooting, patching, upgrading and migration.
• Experience in Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) is a must
• Must have SQL/PLSQL skills
• Experience with technologies such as Oracle Data Guard for use in Switchover/Failover and Disaster Recovery situations.
• Expertise in backup and recovery and migration using RMAN, Data pump and export/import
• Expertise in day to day Oracle Data Guard replication issues/monitoring
• Good knowledge in Oracle Architecture

• Knowledge of MSSQL & MySQL Databases
• Experience in Solaris, Linux, UX, AIX OS including shell scripting skills
• Quick learner - keen to learn new technologies/features and to work with other RDBMS as well
