Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration, with a strong understanding of technical and behavioral competencies.
Key Responsibilities
• Installation and maintenance of Oracle software and databases
• Database builds, incident management, change management, and problem management
• User access management, database startup/shutdown, and consistency checks
• Reorganization activities, including index re-builds and table partitions
• Understanding and hands-on experience with Oracle PDB/CDB, session wait events, and database backup/restores
• Migrating databases across servers, refreshing/cloning databases, and patching
• Knowledge management, including creation of SOPs for regular activities and service/process compliance reporting
• Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow, OEM, Exadata administration, and data encryption
Desirable Skills
• Knowledge of OEM, Real Application cluster, data guard, and performance tuning
