Qualifications
Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor’s Degree (may substitute 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree)
Extensive Oracle DBA experience (5+ years)
In-depth expertise in Oracle Exadata administration (must have)
Proficiency in creating and managing database monitoring tools (e.g., Oracle Enterprise Manager, Splunk, or custom tools)
Strong skills in database uptime monitoring and alerting strategies
Experience with troubleshooting and optimizing databases using log analysis
Hands-on experience with Oracle Grid Infrastructure management, including installation, upgrades, and maintenance
Advanced knowledge of database backup and recovery techniques, including RMAN
Understanding of database security best practices, such as encryption and auditing
Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell) for automation
Strong expertise in Linux/Unix systems

As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will manage, optimize, and secure Oracle databases and Exadata systems to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance with security standards while implementing monitoring tools and disaster recovery plans

Analyze logs to proactively identify and fix potential issues

Maintain compliance with security standards and apply patches regularly

Overview
The Squires Group has multiple contract opportunities for Oracle Database Administrators with EXADATA to work on a Federal project in Washington, DC. This program is responsible for the global supply chain system for the Government and has more than 66,000 users. As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will manage, optimize, and secure Oracle databases and Exadata systems to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance with security standards while implementing monitoring tools and disaster recovery plans.
