We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in migrating enterprise-grade databases to Exadata Cloud@Customer or Exadata Cloud Service within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in database operations, performance tuning, and implementing minimal-downtime migration strategies.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of Oracle DBA experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
Proven experience with Exadata Cloud Service and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Deep understanding of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and GoldenGate.
Experience with minimal-downtime migration strategies (e.g., Oracle Zero Downtime Migration, Data Pump, RMAN, or GoldenGate).
Strong command over SQL performance tuning, diagnostics, and AWR/ASH analysis.
Proficiency in Unix/Linux scripting and OCI CLI/SDKs.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute end-to-end migrations of Oracle databases to Exadata Cloud in OCI with minimal business disruption.
Perform assessment and optimization of existing on-premises databases for cloud-readiness and performance tuning post-migration.
Design and implement disaster recovery, high availability (HA), and backup strategies aligned with OCI capabilities.
Collaborate with application teams, architects, and cloud engineers to ensure successful migration outcomes.
Automate DBA operational tasks using scripting (Shell/PLSQL/OCI CLI) and tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager, APEX, or Terraform.
Provide production DBA support, monitor database health, and proactively resolve issues to ensure maximum uptime.
Optimize resource utilization, storage, and IOPS for Exadata workloads.
Establish and maintain security best practices, including data masking, encryption, and access controls in OCI.
