Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Oracle Projects Techno-Functional Consultant with strong Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.10 on-prem experience to support Oracle Finance and Projects modules during an ongoing upgrade initiative. This is a hands-on, onsite role supporting production systems, integrations, and customizations in a regulated enterprise environment.
The ideal candidate brings deep functional knowledge of Oracle Projects combined with solid technical skills across PL/SQL, SQL, Workflow, and BI Publisher, along with proven experience integrating Oracle Projects with other Finance and Asset modules.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical development and functional support for Oracle E-Business Suite modules, with a focus on Oracle Projects and Finance.
• Remediate, validate, and support EBS extensions and customizations related to Finance and Projects.
• Collaborate with Oracle Support to identify, validate, and implement feasible solutions.
• Work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to support the EBS upgrade from R12.2.10 to R12.2.15.
• Gather business and technical requirements and create detailed functional and technical design documents.
• Complete all required Change Management and SOX-related tasks, as applicable.
• Track deliverables and provide regular status reporting to management.
• Continuously build business and technical expertise through research, training, and available resources.
• Travel up to 10%, as required.
Top Daily Priorities
• Supporting and remediating Oracle EBS Finance and Projects customizations.
• Validating integrations across Oracle Projects and related modules.
• Coordinating with Oracle Support and internal teams during upgrade activities.
• Ensuring system stability and compliance throughout the upgrade lifecycle.
Required Qualifications (Must-Have)
• 5+ years of techno-functional experience with Oracle Projects modules, including:
• Project Costing
• Project Accounting
• Project Billing
• 5+ years of integration experience with:
• Inventory (INV)
• Oracle Time & Labor (OTL)
• Fixed Assets (FA)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
• Strong programming experience with:
• SQL & PL/SQL
• Oracle Workflow
• BI Publisher
• Web-ADI
• Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.10 on-prem experience (required).
• Minimum 5+ years of IT experience in application development and support.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to work onsite in Houston (no exceptions).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or related field (preferred).
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience customizing applications using Oracle Application Framework (OAF).
• Experience with Oracle APEX 18.x.
• Prior experience supporting Oracle upgrades in large enterprise environments.
