Outreach Maths Teacher

his role is based in Nottinghamshire, and has been advertised as a September 2025 start. This role also requires a driving license and access to a car.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver individualised Maths lessons that are aligned with the student's academic level and learning objectives.
Teach a range of topics at GCSE or equivalent levels.
Ability to promote mathematical understanding, engagement and motivation in students.
Remain patient and flexible in the approach to learning by adapting lesson content and teaching methods to support students with SEND and other learning challenges.
Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
Possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with pastoral teams to ensure holistic support for each student.
Maintain thorough records of lessons and progress in line with educational requirements.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching Maths.
Experience in some of the following areas is essential: Edexcel Functional Skills Maths: Entry Level 1 up to Level 2 | KS3, GCSE Mathematics Foundation and Higher level.
Experience working with SEND students is highly desirable.
Excellent knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and related topics.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students in a one-to-one setting.
Flexibility to work in various locations, including students’ homes or other designated learning environments.
A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
