We work with students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), providing individualised support to meet their specific learning needs. As a trusted SEND provider, we offer tailored educational support to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve academic success. Our goal is to offer high-quality education, giving students the tools and confidence to succeed despite the challenges they face in traditional educational settings. Our holistic approach ensures that students receive not only academic guidance but also emotional and social support, fostering both personal and educational growth.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher to deliver one-to-one lessons to students in and around Nottinghamshire with diverse needs, including those with SEND. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach and support students who are unable to attend mainstream schooling, helping them engage with studies through tailored and accessible lessons. Lessons may take place in students' homes, libraries, or other agreed-upon locations.

Please note this role is a September 2025 start, and requires a driving license and access to a car.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver individualised lessons that are aligned with the student's academic level and learning objectives.
Teach a range of topics at EYFS/Primary or equivalent levels.
Ability to promote understanding, engagement and motivation in students.
Remain patient and flexible in the approach to learning by adapting lesson content and teaching methods to support students with SEND and other learning challenges.
Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
Possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with pastoral teams to ensure holistic support for each student.
Maintain thorough records of lessons and progress in line with educational requirements.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching Primary subjects from the National Curriculum.
Experience in some of the following areas is essential: KS1 and KS2 Primary Curriculum.
Experience working with SEND students is highly desirable.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to the needs of the student and focus on building a positive learning environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students in a one-to-one setting.
Flexibility to work in various locations, including students’ homes or other designated learning environments.
A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Why Join EK Outreach Services?

Flexible working hours and locations, allowing you to tailor your work schedule.
The opportunity to make a significant impact by providing one-to-one support to students with additional needs.
Professional development opportunities and SEND-specific training.
A supportive and collaborative team environment with a shared focus on student success.
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
