We are looking for an Overnight Engineer to join our opening team. Please note that this role may require daytime shifts during the opening of the hotel. Open availability is required.

Hours: 11pm – 7:30am
The Role:
The Overnight Engineer will perform preventive maintenance and repair on the Hotel’s guest rooms & mechanical equipment and the building's MEP infrastructure with particular emphasis on, but not limited to the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, plumbing, electrical and carpentry throughout the building. Rooms Preventive maintenance required daily and must be 100 percent completed each quarter.
General Requirements:
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair on mechanical equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot problems, make repairs as follows: calibrate pneumatic control equipment, replace mechanical seals, re-pack pumps and valves, replace bearings and belts and check for proper alignment, repair fan coil units, pressure vessels, replace piping and fittings and maintain appropriate records of preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Respond to requests and make the necessary repairs in a timely and courteous manner.
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Assist with contractor requests as instructed by Management.
• Take initiative and offer assistance throughout the property.
• Individuals must have knowledge of fire standpipes, sprinkler systems and fire extinguishers throughout the facility to ensure proper working conditions and fire protection in compliance with local fire codes. Knowledge of fire safety plans.
Required Experience:
• Minimum 1 year in school and/or hands-on work experience in buildings with complex plumbing systems.
• Broad, practical experience in the fields of stationary engineering, building maintenance, and plumbing.
• Familiar with work and limitations of various crafts, particularly licensed workers who are employed in building maintenance.
• Knowledge of hotel systems and equipment in order to make repairs within the building preferred.
• Working knowledge of pressurized water extinguishers, applicable sanitary codes, and general safety operations procedures.
• If applicable, but not necessary, but must have certifications, licenses, and/or training as required by local, state, and federal laws. Additional First Aid, CPR, and/or AED training is preferred. FLSD certification is preferred.
