Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE: The Paid Media Manager is responsible for planning, optimizing, and executing the brand’s voice through paid media, via relevant channels focused on paid social & paid search.
ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, plan, set up and deliver high-performing media campaigns.
• Manage PPC campaigns in Search and Social, monitor reports and ROI.
• Manage budgets in line with the strategy and ensure that monthly spending is on target.
• Use analytics tools to gauge the success of campaigns & track KPIs of marketing campaigns.
• Undertake competitor research and analysis of habits.
• Build and update optimization reports and recommend opportunities to improve campaigns which drive growth.
• Monitor data sources for new trends and business opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Track, measure, and report online marketing performance across all channels and devices, using key programs such as Google AdWords and Google Analytics to analyze and report on PPC campaigns
• Evaluate and recommend new media marketing opportunities.
• Responsibility for ensuring all digital activities comply with relevant legislative requirements, such as DPA (and GDPR), web accessibility, CMA, and payment card regulations.
Other Duties:
• Occasional work may be required on evenings or weekends to ensure project delivery in critical periods.
• To undertake staff development appropriate to the post as may be identified and required from time to time and by GBS’s Staff Development Programme.
• To observe and implement health and safety responsibilities as specified within GBS’s Health and Safety Policy.
• To demonstrate professionalism in the role as a representative of GBS, incorporating GBS core values in the delivery of duties.

• To undertake such other duties as may reasonably be requested.
Essential Skills and Experience
• Experience running and optimizing media campaigns – e.g. PPC, Paid Social, Display and programmatic.
• Knowledge across social platforms and search.
• Highly motivated – a self-starter with bags of initiative which gets things done
• Immaculate attention to detail

• Commercial – always looking to optimize value

Desirable
• A professional marketing qualification
• Experience with other (non-WordPress) web CMS and publishing platforms
• Understanding of the Higher Education (HE) sector and student recruitment.
• Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts
• Previous experience with the Google Marketing Platform, in particular Google Analytics, Tag Manager
• Programmatic Knowledge and experience.
• Experience using Zoho CRM & Analytics.
