Job Title Painter
Job Location: Auckland
Number of people need: 2
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Days Required: Needs to be available from Monday to Saturday, between 7:30am to 6:30 pm
May need to work during weekends or public holidays;
Hourly Rate: $28 - $35
Hours per Week: Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week. Up to 50 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities include:
Reading plans and preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and repairing holes or cracks
Mixing and applying paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
Applying undercoats and finishing coats to walls, ceilings, and exterior surfaces
Erecting scaffolding or ladders to reach high places as needed
Hanging wallpaper and other wall coverings when required
Ensuring all work is completed to a high-quality finish and client specifications
Cleaning and maintaining painting tools and equipment
Following all health, safety, and environmental protection regulations
Requirements for the applicants:
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as a painter OR a recognised painting trade qualification
Proficiency in using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
Familiarity with a range of paint types, surface preparation, and finishing techniques
Ability to work at heights and in different weather conditions
Physically fit and capable of manual work
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet project deadlines
Valid driver’s licence and personal transport preferred
Ability to attend an onsite interview preferred
Must be able to work independently and in a team
