Job Overview

Veterans Medical Transport is seeking dedicated and skilled Paramedics to join our interfacility transport team serving Kaiser Permanente patients. Unlike traditional 911 response, this role focuses on safe and professional patient transfers between clinics, hospitals, and emergency departments. You’ll benefit from steady hours, strong clinical experience, and a supportive, team-oriented culture.

Duties

Provide advanced life support and high-quality patient care during interfacility transports
Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor conditions in transit
Administer medications, IV therapy, and ventilator support (with specialty bonus available)
Perform airway management, including intubation and ventilation as appropriate
Reassess patients and update receiving staff to ensure continuity of care
Document all care provided accurately in ePCR
Communicate effectively with dispatch, facilities, and partner crews
Maintain vehicles and equipment in clean, ready-to-deploy condition
Option to precept EMT students (with approval)
Experience & Skills

Georgia Paramedic license (EMT-R, EMT-B, EMT-A/I also welcome)
High school diploma or GED required
Current CPR certification
Critical care or interfacility transport experience preferred
Strong foundation in patient assessment, physiology, and medical terminology
Ability to perform heavy lifting during patient movement and transport
Safe driving record with valid driver’s license
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Shift Options: 12-hour and 24-hour shifts available
Shift Differentials:
EMT-R/B/A/I: +$1/hr (Sat & Sun, 8 AM–8 PM)
EMT-R/B/A/I: +$2/hr (Sat & Sun, 8 PM–8 AM)
Paramedics: +$5/hr every night (8 PM–8 AM)
Specialty Bonus: $150 per ventilator call (after post-licensure skills completed)
Professional Development: In-house CPR instructors, post-licensure training, and EMT school launching soon
Locations: Stations in Fayetteville, Marietta, and Tucker, GA
