The Opportunity:
Part-Time, 0.5 EFT | Ongoing contract of employment.
TL $85,644 - $121,462 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).
Moorabbin & Waverley campuses – onsite parking with close proximity to public transport.

The Community and Social Services Department (CSS) provides a range of qualifications, such as Community Services, Justice, Aged Care, Leisure and Health, Disability, Youth Work, and Family Violence. These courses are available at Holmesglen’s Moorabbin, Chadstone, and Glen Waverley campuses, as well as online. They are designed to enable learners to develop their professional skills, build confidence, and establish a network within the community services industry. By providing both theoretical knowledge and practical experience through field placements and community projects, these courses prepare students for a wide array of professional roles within the community and social services sectors. The department is committed to fostering a supportive and interactive learning environment that equips students for the dynamic challenges of community service roles.
Join the Community and Social Studies department and help deliver high-quality education! We seek an enthusiastic educator with a community services background and an adult teaching qualification to join our team. In this role, you will:
Teach in areas including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Family Violence, Housing, Mental Health & Trauma.
Deliver engaging classes online (evenings) & on campus (day).
Develop and tailor teaching and assessment to diverse student needs.
Your student-focused approach and commitment to educational excellence will be key to ensuring high-quality learning outcomes.
As a Teacher, you will:
Develop high-quality teaching resources and assessments across various delivery modes and locations.
Collaborate with industry to tailor training solutions and deliver workplace-based education services.
Support student success through course advice, inductions, individual learning plans, and progress monitoring.
Contribute to continuous improvement, professional development, and compliance with VET and Institute standards.
To be successful, you’ll have:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122 or equivalent predecessor or successor qualifications is mandatory.
Experience in vocational/higher education teaching, developing and implementing training and assessment strategies.
Current industry knowledge directly relevant to the training and assessment being delivered.
Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with team members, promoting a supportive and inclusive work culture.
An approved degree or diploma in a relevant vocational area, or approved equivalent qualifications, at least to the level being delivered and assessed.
WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
