Job Role Overview:
As a Legal Associate at Parle Products, you will play a vital role in providing legal support and guidance across various aspects of the business, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and mitigating legal risks. Reporting to the General Counsel, your responsibilities will include:
• Contract Management: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, distribution agreements, and licensing agreements.
• Legal Compliance: Monitoring and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, particularly in the areas of consumer protection, intellectual property, and food safety.
• Risk Assessment: Identifying potential legal risks and providing proactive advice and solutions to mitigate risks and protect the interests of the company.
• Litigation Support: Assisting in managing litigation matters, including coordinating with external legal counsel, gathering evidence, and preparing legal documents and responses.
• Legal Research and Analysis: Conducting legal research and analysis on various legal issues and providing timely and accurate advice to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution. Additional qualifications such as LLM or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Sound understanding of contract law, corporate law, and other relevant legal principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
