Responsibilities : Structure lessons to meet the physical, social, and intellectual development of students. Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environment. Adhere to the assessment schedule and maintain records of student achievement. Provide extensive pedagogical knowledge and enhance the learning and teaching of the subject matter. Work creatively and constructively within various school communities. Set high, achievable goals for yourself and your students. About You : Qualifications and ability to teach HSIE in a secondary school in accordance with NESA requirements. Ability to also teach Legal Studies - is highly desirable. For the right candidate, there is a possibility of a coordinator role. Strong communication and organisational skills, ensuring reporting deadlines are met. Ability to motivate students and develop a life-long love of learning. Skill in creating effective assessment techniques and differentiating learning activities. Qualifications and Accreditations : Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance. Eligibility to teach according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). Relevant tertiary qualification (new grads encouraged to apply).
