Job Description
Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging Mandarin lessons using songs, rhymes, stories, props, and movement to capture children’s interest.
Adapt activities to suit different learning needs and styles, ensuring every child feels included and supported.
Foster a safe, warm, and stimulating classroom environment that builds children’s confidence in speaking and understanding Mandarin.
Maintain high standards of organisation, supervision, and child safety at all times.
Communicate clearly and professionally with parents about progress and ways to support learning at home.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to the school’s community and ethos.
Attend meetings, training, and events as required.
Requirements
Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ experience teaching young children.
Exceptional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, equivalent to HSK Level 6 or higher, with accurate pronunciation and the ability to model correct tone and grammar for early learners.
Ability to teach Chinese language and culture to young children using accurate, fluent, and age-appropriate communication.
Proven reliability, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
A genuine love for working with young children and a passion for creating meaningful, joyful learning experiences.
Right to work in the UK.
Commitment to stay for at least one academic year following a probation period.
