Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of each child.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social interactions and emotional well-being.
Support children with special educational needs, including those with disabilities and autism, ensuring they receive appropriate guidance and care.
Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers regarding their development.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall quality of education provided.
Maintain accurate records of children's activities and progress in line with regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's achievements and areas for improvement.
Requirements
Proven experience working with young children in an educational setting is essential.
Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
A patient, compassionate approach to working with children of varying abilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
Relevant qualifications in Early Years Education or Child Development are mandatory either a BA (hons) degree OR a Level 3 is required.
