Oholei Torah Day School is currently searching for a confident and experienced teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year.
We are offering the following position:
1. Part time Gr. 5-7 Teacher (Multi grade classroom. 5 students). Monday-Friday, 12:00-4:00.
Requirements:
* Manitoba Teaching Certificate
* Criminal Record Check
* Child Abuse Registry Check
* Fluency in English
Duties:
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards
- Teach Math, ELA, Health, to elementary school students.
- Use a variety of instructional methods and materials to engage students in the learning process.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Experience:
- Strong knowledge of subject matter and instructional strategies for elementary school education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children.
-Experience teaching Art and/or Physical Education is considered an asset.
-Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including attention and executive-function challenges, is an asset.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
