Job Summary:
As a Pastry Specialist, you will be responsible for creating an array of baked goods, pastries, and desserts that delight our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct daily inventory checks to prioritize product use
• Communicate inventory and equipment needs to management
• Collaborate with the executive chef to maintain production standards
• Help develop and maintain pastry recipe books
• Contribute to the creation of dessert menus
• Prepare and bake pastries for restaurant service and special events
• Ensure consistency and presentation in food quality
• Manage proper food storage practices
• Work the dessert station as needed
• Safely utilize kitchen equipment and utensils
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate any issues to management promptly
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 1 year of pastry experience in a full-service restaurant or equivalent
• Punctual and reliable in meeting scheduled shifts
• Maintain a professional appearance that aligns with the restaurant's image
• Capable of safely transporting containers weighing up to 30 pounds
• Ability to stand and move throughout the shift
• Flexible to work during nights, weekends, and holidays
• Comfortable working in various temperatures and limited spaces
