Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Reading and Analyzing patent documents including specifications, search and examination reports, prior art documents, non-patent literature, and decisions of Controllers of Patents .
• Well-versed in interpretation of various provisions of the Patents Act, 1+70, and the Patent Rules revising time to time as well as the Design Act 2000 and the Design rules; having knowledge and understanding of Patent Act in foreign jurisdictions if preferrable.
• Tracking timelines related to filed as well as Granted Patents/Designs of the Patent and Design Offices of various jurisdiction and notifying the team regarding upcoming deadline.
• Knowledge of documents/Form in support of Patent/Design application required to be submitted at the Patent Office from time to time and timelines thereof; having knowledge of documentation/form requirement and timelines for Foreign Patent Offices is desirable.
• Experience in handling communication with different law firms/patent offices and coordinating with in-house team.
• Maintaining and managing intellectual property dockets; experience in handling Patent Docketing Software.
• Coordinating with finance and other internal departments for ensuring payments are made on time.
• Experience in attending hearings before Indian Patent Office
• Handling patent opposition matter (pre-grant and post grant), filing of statement of opposition, reply statement, reply evidence, attending hearing and filing written submission.
• Good communication skills; sound scientific and technical knowledge
• Review of invoices received from Associates and timely disbursement of the same.
Qualifications:
• Indian Patent Agent.
• BSc, B Pharma.
