Role : Accountant - Payroll
Location : Minneapolis, MN
Pay Rate Range : $28 / hour to $31 / hour dependent upon applicable experience

Addison Group has a client located in Minneapolis with an immediate need for an experienced Accountant - Payroll. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a minimum of 2 years working as an accountant.
The ideal candidates will have experience processing all GL / JE / reconciliations, sales and use tax, assisting with month end close, and multi-state payroll, union and non-union payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
This position pays up to $31 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities :
• Enter all JE, Reconciliations, and GL entries.
• Process all invoices for AP / AR, month end close, GL, and vendor relations when needed.
• Assist with posting all cash, credit card, expenses, and inventory deposits.
• Process all sales & use tax and other payables requests from various locations.
• Prepare Monthly Journal Entries including standard entries, recurring entries and miscellaneous entries based on findings from account reconciliations.
• Process all union and non-union employee payroll.
• Process all weekly payroll tax payment to third-party provider and verify tax filings.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
• Minimum of 3 years working with multiple accounting ERP systems
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Bookkeeper or Accountant
• Minimum of 1 year of experience processing payroll
• Exercises a high level of professionalism and a positive demeanor
• Thrive in a casual team environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Proficient in multiple systems including ADP, UltiPro, SAP, Oracle, GreatPlains, and Kronos is a plus but not required
