Job Description
The PACCAR India accounting team is searching for a Payroll Accountant / Senior Payroll Accountant (depending on experience). This position will report to the PACCAR India Assistant Controller (Manager) and be responsible for the payroll accounting and forecasting for PACCAR India.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
This person will be responsible for payroll accounting and payroll analysis:
• Maintaining employee payroll records in system which includes auditing data inputs and reconciling and researching discrepancies
• Processing manual, non-standard or correction transactions. Auditing and reconciling output while researching discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
• Developing contacts and working closely with PACCAR divisions across the U.S. including Human Resources, Accounting and Benefits.
• Assisting with off-cycle payroll runs and act as a back-up to the other accounting functions.
• Auditing payroll personnel files for compliance with company policy, procedures and authorizations
• Review payroll and related statutory compliances and reconcile payments to the bank statement.
• Work with consultants for expat tax compliances and filings.
• Compile and analyze payroll overhead spending
• Support local compliances such as Provident Fund, Profession Tax, Full and Final settlements, GST etc. as applicable, internal audit, and statutory reporting requirements
• Coordinate with Actuary for Actuarial Valuation.
• Prepare monthly financial forecast related to payroll
• Participate in year-end closing activities, as assigned
• Support annual budgeting process
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Participate in Internal Control reviews, SOX testing and various special projects and ad hoc reports as assigned.

Education & Training
Required:
• Bachelors of Commerce
• CA Inter/Chartered Accountant/MBA
• A minimum of 1-3 years' experience
