Role Overview
The Payroll & Benefit Administrator is responsible to maintain accurate payroll records as well as process payroll information, determine the pay and benefit entitlements for employees.
Key Responsibilities
Benefit Administrator
Review Benefit Reconciliation
Processes Bi-weekly Run
Ensures the time off request, Overtime and Termination approved by the managers
Audit Payroll Variances and communicate to the managers
Processes termination calculation and ROE
Processes Semi-Monthly Run
Same functions as Bi-Weekly plus processes transportation and parking subsidy
Audit Payroll Variances and communicate to the managers
Processes Off-Cycle Run
Processes Union Dues and Benefit Reports and coordinates with Finance for payments
Communicates to Service Canada, WCB and ICBC Requests
Updates payroll information including direct deposit and tax form for employees
Documents and maintains complete and accurate supporting information for all payroll transactions.
Performs other related duties as assigned by Payroll and Benefit Team Leader or the Controller
Backup: Payroll and Benefit Team Leader
Requirements
Experience: 3 more years payroll experience
Knowledge: Understanding payroll principles and practices of a full-cylce payroll
Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in DayForce, MS Office, and Excel.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Compensation
Salary: $60,000 to $75,000
