About the Role


We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-driven HR Coordinator to join our People & Culture team. In this fast-paced, collaborative role, you’ll provide essential administrative support in payroll preparation, timekeeping, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle coordination. You'll work cross-functionally with both HR and Finance to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and a smooth employee experience from onboarding through offboarding. Responsibilities

Payroll Support: Partner with the Payroll Administrator and Finance team to support payroll preparation, including timekeeping validation and employee timesheet tracking.
Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefit enrollments and terminations, ensuring accurate records and timely updates during lifecycle changes.
Documentation Management: Maintain up-to-date employee records in the HRIS; support contract reviews and document handling across platforms.
Compliance: Coordinate with Workers' Compensation Boards to ensure timely remittance and updates related to employee status and payroll changes.
Onboarding Coordination: Support onboarding logistics including welcome documentation, access setup, and initial training schedules.
Process Improvement: Identify and contribute to the improvement of internal HR processes, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
Requirements

Education: Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (CO-OP experience considered).
Experience: 2–3 years in an HR or administrative support role, with hands-on exposure to payroll and/or benefits processes.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with payroll cycles, benefits administration tools, and HRIS systems.
Technology Proficiency: Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) or Microsoft Office Suite.
Documentation: Experience preparing reports, summaries, and dashboards with strong data accuracy.
Attention to Detail: Consistent track record of managing multiple tasks with precision under tight deadlines.
