Full job description
Summary:
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that employees of the organization are paid accurately and on time. Other duties include managing backend data relating to the hours worked by an employee matched with their pay periods and hourly wages, salaries, overtime, sick days, and vacation days.
Responsibilities:
Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and interacting with HR
Distribute hourly and salary associate payments on time and accurately
Maintain accurate records of payments made to the associate
Liaise with the HR department and accounts department to ensure accurate information for payment
Preparing reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave, and non-taxable wages
File relevant reports and documents as needed
Verify associate payroll records and consult departments in the event of a discrepancy
Assist with monthly, quarterly, or year-end calculations of bonuses and other salary-based compensation
Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures
Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy
All other duties as assigned
Experience/Qualifications:
Experience in payroll calculation, and completion preferred.
Ability to lift to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Some college-related classes, preferred
