About the role
As the People Development Support Officer you will provide efficient and accurate administrative support to the People Development Team and the broader GEL department.
This is a critical administrative role supporting our workforce growth and development strategy which requires high level of professional integrity and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Staff qualification management: Updating data bases, reporting on and following up employee qualifications, police checks and WWCCs.
Onboarding and inductions: Assisting in the organisation and delivery of Glen Eira Leisure’s staff onboarding and inductions.
Learning and development: Assisting with the preparation of reports for GEL’s Learning and Development e-Learning platform.
Document management: Ensuring the efficient and accurate collection and maintenance of records and documents.
Course bookings: Assisting in the administration of the licensed training program.
General administrative support: Provide project and administration support to the People and Development Coordinator.

Skills and Experience
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise work demands
High level of competence and experience using administration software and systems
Good time management and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as well as a part of a team,
Good initiative to solve problems.
Ability build relationships and gain co-operation from staff, clients and external stakeholders.
Experience in Recruitment, Training or Human Resources Administration would be highly regarded.
