Description
The key role of the People Superintendent is support the business to maintain the organisation's strategic business principles in the deployment of all HR activities. The role is responsible for leading a team of People practitioners who provide support, advice and coaching to ensure leaders are empowered and equipped to adequately handle all people matters.
Provide strategic leadership and management of HR functions
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
Drive employee engagement and foster a positive work culture
Collaborate with management to identify staffing needs and strategies
Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management
Oversee recruitment and selection processes
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws
Implement and manage training and development program
Profile
A successful People Superintendent should have:
University degree in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations
Track record within mining ideally Coal.
High level of knowledge and understanding of employment and industrial relations legislation and regulations
Demonstrated competence in providing ER/IR advice to support business strategy
Proven ability to prepare reports, policies and procedures
Significant site experience within the resources industry, preferably with a contracting business
Experience in leading a team of HR Advisors / Business Partners
